This ground-breaking study set out to provide new insights into the mechanisms by which disadvantage and inequality lead to mental health problems in late adolescence and early adulthood. 

The report focusses on the everyday social welfare legal problems experienced by 16-24 year olds and reveals close association between mental health, legal problems, inequality and youth.
