GP Champions for Youth Health: Commissioning effective primary care services for young people

1 Apr 2015

This briefing is aimed at policymakers, commissioners and funders with an interest in health and health-related services for young people up to 25 years.

GP Champions for Youth Health was a three‐year project, funded by the Department of Health and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Its aim was to transform the delivery of health services for young people by creating innovative new links between GPs and the voluntary sector.

This publication's purpose is to support improvements in young people’s access to Primary Care services through improving collaboration and integrated working between GPs and voluntary youth sector organisations, particularly Youth Information, Advice and Counselling Services (YIACS).
