YIACS Purpose, Values and Principles

14 Oct 2019

YIACS’ main purpose is to offer an integrated approach to young people’s health and wellbeing concerns.

Young people who attend a YIACS are supported through a unique combination of the following:

  1. Prevention,
  2. Early intervention, and
  3. Crisis work.

YIACS services are underpinned by a common set of values and principles which are outlined in the below document.

This resource was developed as part of our Department of Health and Social Care funded IQ Project, which supports a new vision for young people’s mental health and wellbeing; one in which accessible, self-referral YIACS are a key part of every local offer.
